There's a reason for the sunshine in the sky...

... And there's a reason why I'm feeling so high, must be the season...

Hey world! I'm dancing in my chair as I write this, simply because I feel like it. So there.

July is almost over, which means that I have less than a month left until school. I still need to work on my sleeping habits, because i have a problem with staying up too late and waking up too late. I could try setting my alarm or something, that might work. And my iPod on top of that, because if I set my alarm clock, I'll just turn it off and fall back asleep.

And apparently my random obsession with Tom Hanks is still going strong. I could rant on about him forever, but I'll restrain myself for now. XP

I'm listening to some songs I haven't heard in forever... Good times, you know? Like one was the theme song for me and my BFF Kirsten like back in sixth grade.

I'm very annoyed at my enter-key, as it seems to get stuck quite often, which can make writing a hassle. Which reminds me that I really need to work on my fanfictions, and I also have a few ideas for some novels, which I will lay out here for future reference because I'm likely to forget:
  • The Scarlet Rose - A novel about Mary Magdalene from her own point of view, touching every point that has been speculated about her life, to my knowledge: the prostitute, the Christ-follower, the wife of Christ, etc. Historical Fiction
  • Blackout - Something involving a government agency, a conspiracy, and the shutdown of all of the electricity around the world. It's still vague in my head yet. Mystery/Thriller type of thing.
  • An untitled idea - A woman is pursued by some secret society bent on killing her, only known as 'The Brotherhood' (Still working on the why part. Considered her being the descendant of the illegitimate child of either St. Peter or St. Paul, but I thought that might make it too reminiscent of The DaVinci Code) She also has help from a stranger, but he's tangled in a web of mystery and crime and she can't decide whether he's friend or foe. Mystery/Thriller
  • Ashes (or something like that) - The experiences of a teenage girl who is left alone as one of the few survivors after a nuclear war which nearly kills everyone around her. She has fight her own way to survive, and she meets a few people along the way, though she knows she can't really trust anyone as the world tries to recover. Fiction, perhaps written as a diary?
And that's all for now. I think these are all interesting ideas, but those are pretty much in order of current interest. Please leave a comment and tell me which one(s) (if any) you think I should look into more.

Until then, Arrivederci, bellezze! ;D

I bet you're wondering why I'm up blogging at two-thirty in the morning.... It's okay, I'm wondering that too. I really am tired, but I don't WANT to sleep. Even though I should. I'm a retard.

Okay, so Bible School is over, and I think I'm actually going to miss it, especially the sweethearts in my group, I love them to bits. That little girl Jessa, her sister... All of the ones that don't go to my church, I'll totally miss them. I hope they come back next year! I might be there, might not. It's just so great to see those kids interact and get closer to God while they're having so much fun... Bless their little hearts! <3

And we had dinner with Mark and Nikki Kaley - our new pastor and his wife. It was fun, and they are both very friendly. It was some interesting and informative discussion over dinner at our town's Mexican restaurant (even though the adults did most of the talking while my sisters and I just sort of talked amongst ourselves a bit and listened). And then Mark and Nikki showed us their new house, it's very nice and big and pretty. :)

And on a much more random note - Why is it that Tom Hanks has the innate ability to make me cry?? I mean, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Big.... I even cried at his two Oscar acceptances speeches. I mean, I feel so stupid, but I just can't help it. He's good at what he does, and he's a good speaker, and he's just that kinda guy...

And Justin Bartha got a Twitter! Haha, I follow him now, I want to see what's going on with him, hehe. Maybe he'll tell us when they start preparing for NT3! I can't wait!

And Angels & Demons comes out on DVD September 14th, the day before The Lost Symbol! That will be the best week ever for me! I'll have my fill of Professor Langdon that week, I'm sure of it, hehe. I'll probably try to read TLS in one sitting, if I can (although the 15th is on Tuesday this year and I'll have school the next day, so I can't stay up freakishly late)

And speaking of school, I'm starting as freshie in HS this year! I'll fill you in on that some other time, when it's not 2:30 and I'm not crazy from sleep deprivation and my lips dont' keep sticking together from gum residue.

And only I would be able to touch on so many unrelated subjects AND all my obsessions in one blog post written at this ridiculous hour.

And why do I keep starting paragraphs and sentences with 'And'??? That's awful grammar! Shame on me!

Arrivederci, bellezze (e buona notte ;D)

Hello again!

I had a very interesting experience the other day - I went swimming with all my clothes on. I can't explain why, I just had a sudden urge to get in the pool after I dipped my feet in. I just sort of wondered what it be like. So I got in. I was even wearing long pants that day. It was strangely exhilarating for something so simply, but I loved it. Until my sister had to come outside and ruin in for me... but that's not the point.

Sunday was a very very long day. I woke up around 8, had church at 9, then had to help set up an ice cream social for our new pastor. We left for home at about 10:30, got to stay home for about an hour and a half, then went back to church for the actually party. It started about 12:30, and after the whole party, serving everyone, and cleaning up, (pretty much by ourselves -the pastor and his wife even helped us clean up after THEIR party!) we barely got to sit down until 3. And then we started Vacation Bible School at 5:30-ish and ended at 8:3o-ish. Very long, very exhausting day.

Speaking of VBS, this year all of the churches in our community got together and we're all doing 'Rome: Paul and the Underground Church' together. I'm an assistant group leader, meaning i follow the real group leader around and help however I can. Our group leader is a nice older lady. I like our group, we have mostly little ones though. I have to say my favorite is a little girl named Jessa, who's three years old, she's a real sweetheart. And we're learning all about Paul and the Underground Church. Apparently back in ancient Rome, they weren't so nice if you were a Christian, so they had to meet in secret. Pretty interesting, I guess. I like the history of it, we dress up in costumes and go to a 'marketplace' to make neat little crafts and eat food kind of like Romans might have. When in Rome, do as the Romans do?

Other than that stuff, nothing else is really new. My mom got her computer back (virus free!) from the shop, so she can stop using mine. XP

Well, that's all for now... Arrivederci, bellezze! =D

Hello, readers of this little blog o'mine! Happy July!

Well, what's new with me? Nothing, really, thanks for asking. I'm mostly just enjoying summer break, taking it one day at a time. I've developed a bad habit of staying in bed until noon. I really don't mean to, I wake up a few times, I just keep falling back to sleep... Ah well, I have over a month to work on getting up early for school, which starts sometime in late August. I'm starting high school!

Meanwhile, I am impatiently waiting for September 15th, because the third Robert Langdon book is coming out that day, and I'm all curious. Dan Brown keeps posting clues on Twitter and Facebook and it's sort of driving me crazy, trying to connect it all. It sounds like it's gonna be a good book! (And it better be, since it took six years to get it published since DVC). He also said he has ideas for 12 more Langdon story, which would be impossible (but fantastic)

So I went to WalMart today and got new headphones, some watermelon gum, and the movie Philadelphia, which is one of the best movies I have ever seen and won Tom Hanks an Oscar plus a whole bunch of other awards. And in connection with that, one of my favorite songs came from that movie - Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen, you should listen to it if you get the chance. And see the movie too.

Sooo, um.... I don't know what to say now. So I guess I will go then.

Arriverdeci, bellezze. ;D
